The Perfect Peel

If you're ready to rejuvenate your complexion ahead of party season, a skin peel could be your perfect match. There are a number of different peels available, but let's see why the Perfect Peel is one of the most popular options for both aesthetics practitioners and clients.

What is the Perfect Peel?

Universally loved by aesthetic practitioners and dermatologists alike, the Perfect Peel is a revolutionary treatment designed to refresh and revitalise the skin. Its formulation was designed to improve a number of skin conditions and concerns, as the active ingredients work to increase cellular turnover.

Suitable for most skin types, the Perfect Peel promotes clearer, healthier and younger looking skin in just two weeks. In addition to the face, the Perfect Peel can also be applied to the chest, neck and hands to refresh and renew the skin.

How Does the Perfect Peel Work?

The Perfect Peel contains a number of skin-boosting ingredients, including:

Salicylic acid
Glutathione
Kojic acid
Retinoic acid
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA)
Phenol
Vitamins and minerals

One of the most noteworthy ingredients in the Perfect Peel blend is glutathione. Often referred to as the ultimate antioxidant, glutathione has the ability to penetrate into the skin on a cellular level in order to most effectively combat damage from oxidants.

Our bodies produce glutathione naturally, however levels of this potent antioxidant start to deplete in part due to the natural ageing process, but also as a result of exposure to air pollutants, the sun's UV rays, and other environmental stressors.

The Benefits of the Perfect Peel

The Perfect Peel has a number of skin boosting benefits, including improving both skin tone and texture for a smoother, more luminous complexion. It also has the ability to brighten areas of pigmentation and minimise the appearance of age spots and sun damage. The Perfect Peel has also been proven to improve the appearance of acne-prone skin and reduce acne-related scarring and areas of hyperpigmentation.

In addition to its resurfacing properties, the Perfect Peel also has collagen-boosting properties, which means that it can soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a visibly plumper and firmer complexion.

What Can I Expect from the Treatment Process?

The Perfect Peel is an efficient skin boosting treatment that typically only takes 30 minutes to complete. It is normal to experience some slight tingling or stinging during the treatment itself, however this will subside after a few seconds after which your skin may feel slightly numb.

Results can be seen after just one treatment, however you may choose to have several treatments four to six weeks apart depending on your personal skin concerns. With a consistent skincare routine featuring high-quality skin-boosting products, the results of the Perfect Peel can be easily maintained.

Generally, we recommend between two and three treatments annually to maintain optimal results.

What to Expect from the Healing and Recovery Process Following the Perfect Peel

Immediately following your treatment, it is normal to experience some redness. The peeling process will begin around three days after your treatment, during which you will start to see the epidermis shedding to reveal new, refreshed skin underneath. This peeling process typically takes between three and four days to complete and you will be given a Perfect Peel moisturiser to use throughout the peeling process, which will minimise the visibility of skin peeling by providing a hit of hydration.

You should be able to return to normal daily activities immediately following your peel, however we do recommend avoiding excessive sweating and heavy exercise as your skin recovers.

It is important to keep skin makeup free on the day of your treatment, however makeup can be applied a few days into the peeling process. We also advise limiting sun exposure before, during and immediately after your peel as your skin heals.
