Profhilo Structura

I know that I find myself saying this a lot, but it really is an exciting time in the world of aesthetic medicine because new, increasingly innovative treatments are becoming more widely available all the time, allowing myself and my team to provide even better options for our clients here at the clinic.

Today I am thrilled to be talking about Profhilo Structura, which is a new regenerative skin treatment that provides similar outcomes to fillers whilst also focussing on regenerating the skin tissues for better skin health and lasting results.

What is Profhilo Structura?

Profhilo Structura is a new generation of hyaluronic acid injectable that has been specifically designed to contour, rejuvenate and lift by targeting the subcutaneous fat layers within the treatment area.

When these layers of fat are repositioned and regenerated by the treatment, the effects of tissue descent and the flattening of angles in the face are counteracted to provide a lifted and contoured facial profile that looks natural.

Profhilo Structura is an exciting aesthetic treatment because it can offer outcomes that are akin to some of the filler treatments that have been popular for some time, whilst also boosting the overall health of the skin for lasting results.

How Does Profhilo Structura Work?

Profhilo Structura uses NAHYCO technology, which utilises low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid to create a high concentration of this powerful, skin-boosting substance. This patented technology creates a highly stable substance that can offer lasting results.

Two treatment sessions are initially recommended, which should be conducted 30 days apart. Outcomes from these initial treatments will last for around four to five months, after which a maintenance treatment can be performed to achieve an optimal outcome.

What Can Profhilo Structura Treat?

Profhilo Structura is primarily designed to treat areas of the face that are experiencing the loss of subcutaneous fat, which makes it ideal for addressing the sagging and sinking that can occur as part of the natural ageing process.

When the skin experiences sinking, it can increase the visibility of the underlying structures of the face, particularly under the cheekbones and around the temples. It also often makes the skin look thinner.

When the skin begins to sag, the lower areas of the face often see an increase in volume. The skin can also look thicker and contribute to a sense of imbalance in the face, which can impact our self confidence.

Profhilo Vs Profhilo Structura: What's The Difference?

Profhilo focuses on regenerating the skin's structure, whereas Profhilo Structura goes deeper to target the subcutaneous fat. This does mean that Profhilo can be used on both the face and body, but the newer treatment Profhilo Structura can only be used on areas of the face where atrophy has occurred.

Profhilo Structura is formulated with a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid and has more powerful lifting abilities than Profhilo. However, with both treatments, it is important to visit an experienced practitioner who has a solid understanding of the structure of the face.

Your practitioner should also sit down with you prior to your treatment to discuss the results you are hoping to achieve, as this will inform the injection placement and techniques used during your treatment.
